North Little Rock, AR- Jason International Inc., a perennial leader in the hydrotherapy industry, received the SHARP (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition) award on Tuesday, October 25th. The award was presented by Clark Thomas, the Director of OSHA Consultation.

Present to receive the award were President, Remo C. Jacuzzi; Vice President of Technical Services, Remo V. Jacuzzi; Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, James Mueller; Maintenance Manager, DeWayne Coats; Production Manager, Shannon Finley; Nelda Hodges, and Sheila May.

The SHARP award program is designed to provide incentives and support to those employers that implement and continuously improve effective safety and health management systems at their worksite. There are currently 29 companies within the state of Arkansas who have received this coveted award.

OSHA and the Department of Labor have five standard requirements that must be met in order to qualify for this distinction. Jason International not only meets the requirements, but exceeds them through self auditing, safety committee efforts, and diligence in training. Jason International is one of the 15 companies in Arkansas who were honored with the award this year. The challenge was met by management commitment, employee buy-in, and total support from all departments.
