NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR (April 2009) – Last year Jason International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of hydrotherapy bath products, joined the millions of American businesses that are “going green”.  In June of 2008, Jason launched a company wide initiative to “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” in every area of operation. 

 “We have always been good stewards of our resources and conscientious in our operations,” states Remo Jacuzzi, President of Jason International.  “Since Jason began over 25 years ago, we have upheld high standards in all business and manufacturing practices.  It is with that mindset that we have committed our efforts to the preservation of our environment.”

Although Jason has been environmentally conscious for a number of years, they have recognized the growing need for avid conservation and responded by implementing several new methods of reducing, reusing, and recycling. 

Jason replaced high energy consuming lighting and office equipment with ENERGY STAR compliant versions.   They also began repurposing production material remnants for reuse in packaging. In addition, Jason continue to promote recycling for everything from paper to production materials, and encourages employees to “go paperless” by distributing documents, reports, and correspondence electronically.

The purpose of Jason’s “Go Green” initiative was to increase awareness of and create opportunities for addressing environmental issues within the organization.  Since the launch date in 2008, Jason has significantly increased paper, plastic, and cardboard recycling efforts while notably reducing paper and energy consumption.

Their ongoing goal is to promote the positive effects of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” among their employees, distributors, and vendors.  As they continue to do their part to be responsible with the earth’s resources, they hope to be an example that other businesses will follow.
